Golden Obsidian has a golden-gray sheen effect similar to cats-eye gemstones. Obsidian comes in many varieties and colors, all of them natural glass formed in the later stages of some volcanic eruptions. This was one of the earliest materials worked and traded by humans across the world, due to its useful sharp edges and relative ease of shaping. Material mined in the USA, and finished in China. As in most semiprecious gemstones, colors, bead sizes, and shapes can vary slightly due to differences in natural material, manufacturing, and cutting methods.
Metaphysically, obsidian is used to alleviate pain, reduce tension, and release negative energy.
