Known and prized since ancient times, sunny light-green to olive-green peridot is the gem grade of the mineral Olivine.
It's sometimes called 'Evening Emerald' for its strong glitter under both natural and artificial light. Peridot is mined in volcanic deposits on Earth, and has been found in Pallasite meteorites...making it one of the few known truly 'cosmic' gemstones.
Our small flat teardrop peridot beads are side-drilled across the top and faceted on both sides, and make dazzling green accents for earrings, necklaces, and wire wrapping projects.
Approximately 74 - 75 beads in 7" strand. Hole size approximately .40mm. Beads sold strung on .30mm (28-29 gauge) beading wire. Because these gemstone beads are shaped and faceted by hand, they can vary slightly from the size ranges given.
