This transparent to translucent gemstone has a glassy or pearly luster and a soft apple-green to pale yellow-green color.
Known since the 1780s from South African deposits, gem-grade prehnite is now mined on several continents, and is popular as a jewelry material.
Our small flat teardrop beads are are side-drilled across the top and faceted on both sides. Their slightly milky green tones are refreshing accents in strung jewelry and wire wrapping projects.
Approximately 60 beads in 6" strand. Hole size approximately .40mm. Beads sold strung on .25mm (30 gauge) beading wire. Because these gemstone beads are shaped and faceted by hand, they can vary slightly from the size ranges given.
