Dieser wunderschöne, doppelhörnige Halbmondanhänger (27 x 21 x 6,5 mm) wurde von balinesischen Kunsthandwerkern handgeschnitzt aus schwarzem Holz und verfügt über einen Bügel aus Sterlingsilber mit drei Reihen granulierter Details.
Aufgrund ihrer Verbindung und Symbolik für Wachstum wurde die „Halbmondform“ als Symbol für Fruchtbarkeit bekannt, und Göttinnen wie Aphrodite werden oft mit einem Haarschmuck in Form eines Halbmondes dargestellt. In der nordafrikanischen, spanischen und später südwestamerikanischen Silberschmiedetradition war der nach unten gerichtete Halbmond ein wichtiges Designmotiv. Das hinzugefügte Granulationsmuster symbolisiert oft Samen für Fruchtbarkeit und Wohlstand.
Obwohl es massiv und schwer wirkt, ist es durch das Holz leicht genug für zarte Anhänger oder sogar Ohrringe. Die Höhenangabe beinhaltet einen 5 mm großen, verlöteten Biegering.
