This 20x10x2.5mm delicately detailed and oxidized .925 sterling silver charm pays homage to Ganesh, one of the most beloved Hindu deities.
All spiritual worship in the Hindu tradition begins with the invocation of Ganesh, the elephant-headed god. Ganesh became the Lord (Isha) of all existing beings after winning a contest from his brother Kartika. When given the task to race around the universe, Ganesh did not start the race like Kartika did, but simply walked around Shiva and Pavarti, both his father and mother as the source of all existence. Ganesh is considered to have influence over education, wisdom, knowledge, and wealth.
