Sterling Silver Sprite Riding Dragonfly Festoon/Pendant 17x45mm.
Our .925 sterling silver winged sprite holds a floral garland and rides a dragonfly, in this 3D sculpted festoon/double hole pendant. A hidden bail at the bottom (between the sprite and dragonfly feet) offers a 1.2x1.2mm attachment hole for beaded dangles or smaller charms.
The Victorian Era in Great Britain and America ushered in new ideas about ancient folklore, often 'downsizing' terrifying legends into cute, whimsical characters in children's stories. This sprite is modeled after ones found in the famous Andrew Lang 'Fairies' books, which compiled old and new folktales from around the world.
Length measurement includes two 5mm soldered jump rings at the tips of the dragonfly's wings.
