Rope chains are made of oval links interwoven through multiple connections, producing a spiral rope-like effect.
When using this light but versatile rope chain, it's important to always connect jump rings, wire loops, and other findings to two chain links at once, instead of one (see close-up in our pictures). This continues the interconnected look of the chain, and helps improve strength at the join. This may mean using a larger-diameter circular or oval jump ring, to cover the distance. 26-28 gauge wires and jump rings are compatible with this chain; for stronger connections, we recommend wire-wrapped closed loops instead of open loops.
